Playing Files Using iTunes File Sharing
3DeeCentral supports iTunes File Sharing to share 3D videos and images. To learn how iTunes File Sharing works, go to: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4094.
Note: 3D video and image files used with iTunes File Sharing need to meet the following specifications:
- Video Files - side-by-side (i.e. The left and the right view arranged side by side and squeezed to half of the original width) H.264 encoded mp4 or m4v video files, bit rate at 5 Kbit or lower, resolution 320 to 720p (540p preferred).
- Image Files - must be .pns or .jps image formats. Left/Right images can't be scaled to half of the original width (i.e., the file should have twice the width compared to just a left or right image).
Program Options
To enter the Program Options, press the home button on your iPhone, go to the iPhone Settings and scroll down to tab the 3DeeCentral entry.
There are several ways to customize 3DeeCentral to suit your preferences:
3D mode
3DeeCentral supports different output modes:
- Anaglyph - requires a pair of Red-Cyan Anaglyph glasses (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anaglyph_image)
- 3D - requires Spatial View's 3DeeSlide accessory. Also requires registering your 3DeeSlide registration serial number. Unless the registration succeeds, the 3D mode won't be available and the Anaglyph mode is used instead.
Slideshow Options
The three options in this section control the way each image in an image set is displayed:
- Play each slide for - sets the number of seconds that each image is displayed before moving onto the next image
- Transition - when set to ON, each image in a slideshow will dissolve into the next one. When set to OFF, the next image will simply appear.
- Repeat - when set to ON, the image viewer returns to the beginning and starts the slide show over after the last slide is displayed.
Auto-start Downloads
Auto-Start Download will automatically download paid or free content unless you change the default to OFF. Once Auto-Start Download is switched to OFF, content can only be downloaded manually by using the 3deeCentral Download tab.
Mobile Downloads
3DeeCentral content can only be downloaded when you have a Wi-Fi connection. If you change the default option to ON, 3DeeCentral will also download content over a 3G cellular connection.
Note: With a 3G cellular connection, you will be responsible for any additional data charges that may be incurred from your wireless carrier. We recommend that you carefully monitor the amount of data you download to avoid additional charges when exceeding the download limits of your data plan.
Wi-Fi/3G Connections
Browsing and purchasing 3D content from 3DeeCentral can be done without a Wi-Fi connection, whereas downloading can only be done over a Wi-Fi connection. If your Wi-Fi connection is lost during a download, 3DeeCentral will automatically resume the download the next time you enter a Wi-Fi zone.
Should you wish to download using a 3G connection, go to your iPhone 4 Home screen, select Settings, then 3DeeCentral. Turn the "Allow Cell Downloads" option to "ON."
FAQs
Why is downloading over 3G disabled by default?
Spatial View is mindful of carrier-related data charges that are typically incurred when downloading files, particularly with a limited data plan. Downloading 3D content over Wi-Fi is often much faster than over 3G. If you would like to transfer over a 3G network, from the Options menu, select Allow Mobile Downloads.
Why does 3DeeCentral appear to be slow?
The first time you start 3DeeCentral, you may notice a delay of approximately 30 seconds while the list of available 3D content downloads from the server. This delay occurs during the initial log-in only; subsequent sessions will be much faster.
What are the 5 3DeeCentral toolbar icons at the bottom of the 3DeeCentral Home screen?
Videos, Images, Store, Downloads, and Help.
Why does 3DeeCentral look fuzzy when viewed through the 3DeeSlide?
With the exception of videos and images, all 3DeeCentral screens appear in 2D. We recommend you remove the 3DeeSlide until you are ready to start viewing your 3D images or videos.
Why are the images and videos I've downloaded not displayed in 3D?
You need to purchase and add Spatial View's 3DeeSlide accessory to your iPhone 4. The 3DeeSlide enables you to view all 3D videos and images on your device, without glasses. Alternately, you can view 3D videos and images using Red-Cyan anaglyph 3D glasses.
How do I delete downloaded content from my iPhone 4?
At the bottom of the 3DeeCentral Home screen, select either the Videos or the Images icon, locate the item you want to delete. Using your finger, touch and slide the item to the right until a menu with a Delete icon appears. By tapping the Delete icon, you will permanently remove this item.
Can I re-download content that I have already deleted?
Yes. Tap the Store icon and buy the title again. You won't be charged for any re-download since Apple's In-App Purchasing system keeps track of the titles you own.
My content I just purchased does not show up in the 'Download' list. What can I do?
In rare circumstances, downloaded 3D content from 3DeeCentral may not appear in your download queue right away. As a work around, quit and restart 3DeeCentral. Here are the restart instructions:
- Press the Home icon to take you back to the Home screen
- Double-click the Home icon to display the list of running apps
- Press and hold the 3DeeCentral icon it until it starts to wiggle
